Hi All
Just a brief update this week as Coops and I did not play over the weekend. As you can see from the photo, Herfst (Autumn) is starting to kick in here in the Netherlands with more rain and moisty bike seats to mount after training! The juniors definitely made the most of it one evening, showing us their best 'Slip n Slide' technique.

Coops and I had the weekend off playing as there has be a reshuffle in the team composition at DOS '46 due to players coming back from injuries. Our new assignment is with the fourth team, whose game was postponed over the weekend. This will bring with it a whole new set of challenges. We will have to learn the playing styles of a new group of teammates and figure out what our role will be in the team. The fourth team will also have the challenge of having to adjust to having two native English speakers in the team! Fortunately, we already have combined third/fourth team training so there is some familiarity there already.
Over the weekend I had the opportunity to watch A1 and A2 play their games (they are the top two U19 teams at DOS '46), and help out with their sideline medical care. Both teams came away with great wins in damp conditions. It has certainly been nice to help out more around the club. Both Coops and I have also been starting to do some coaching for various junior teams as well when our help is required. All the children have a pretty good understanding of our English. Hopefully, soon we will speak to them using a little Dutch.
Also loving watching the America's Cup, bring it home Emerits
